Liverpool could be face Premier League leaders Man City next month without key defender Trent Alexander-Arnold after the injury sustained against Arsenal could leave him on the sideline for weeks.
When the two sides meet next month on April 10, the pair won't have to worry about a UEFA Champions League fixture 48 hours later. Should that have been the case, the Premier League would have moved the league fixture back to a Saturday midday kick-off in order to allow both teams time to rest.
City manager Pep Guardiola has already started the mind games, telling Liverpool that his side hold their own destiny in their hands.

Liverpool will be without defender Trent Alexander-Arnold when they face Nottingham Forest this weekend in the FA Cup.
Though there was no guarantee he would be selected against Championship opposition, the bigger fear is that the England international will miss the key Premier League fixture against Man City next month. The Reds are currently a point behind City and the match at the Etihad Stadium could determine the winner of the league.
Alexander-Arnold picked up the hamstring injury in the win over Arsenal and could be out for weeks.
