Liverpool news: Jurgen Klopp seeks midfield solution as academy prospect praised

Liverpool youngster Mateusz Musialowski has been praised by another one of his Liverpool teammates.

The academy player, who has been dubbed "the Polish Messi", is said to have left Reds boss Jurgen Klopp shouting “well done” after nutmegging Fabinho in training – and now Virgil van Dijk has also been left in awe at this talent.

It comes as Klopp desperately seeks a solution to his problems in midfield with just a week of the January transfer window left.

And questions have been raised about Sadio Mane's treatment at the Africa Cup of Nations after he suffered a concussion scare following a heavy collision with Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, but remained on the pitch to net the game's opening goal.
