Jurgen Klopp is planning for his new forward line to include Benfica's Darwin Nunez next season.
The Uruguayan has become Liverpool's number one summer transfer target following the news that Sadio Mane wants to leave the club. Mane's departure would mean Klopp has some rejigging to do with his forward line – leading to the Reds targeting Nunez.
Liverpool hope to beat Premier League rivals Manchester United to the Benfica forward's signature, and have been boosted by the player having a problem with the Red Devils' offer. Meanwhile Liverpool ace Diogo Jota has responded to the news that Jurgen Klopp is pushing to sign Nunez.

Darwin Nunez's arrival at Liverpool would make the forward the first Jurgen Klopp has bought at the club who fits the bill of a conventional No.9.
The Benfica forward can play on the left, and he enjoys drifting out there on a regular basis, but with Luis Diaz's threat from that side, it's likely the Uruguayan would be used more in the centre. It means that Klopp may be seeking to also use Nunez to help fill the role sometimes occupied by Divock Origi as well as the void left by Mane.
