Liverpool have been named as the most popular football club in the United Kingdom.

The 19-time champions of England not only attract tens of thousands of passionate fans to all four corners of Anfield every week, but the club is also a worldwide beacon for Kopites around the globe.

Such is the history, passion and belief that pumps through the veins of the Reds that any and everybody wants to stand in the Kop at least once in their life and have their spine tingled by ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’.

Sure, fans of rival clubs like Everton and Manchester United aren’t exactly enamoured, but the heavy-metal football of the Jurgen Klopp era has even seen Liverpool win over a lot of neutrals in recent years.

As such, maybe it makes sense that Liverpool are the most beloved football club in the UK, after all? Ok, ok, we can hear the protestations from a mile away, so let’s do some more digging into the situation.

Purportedly based upon millions of responses that grow on a daily basis, the YouGov Ratings are plugged into everything from food, television and of course: “The Most Popular Football Clubs.”

And according to their Q4 data from 2021, Liverpool stand head and shoulders above the rest as the UK’s most popular football club with 38% of people holding a positive opinion of them.
