Liverpool in action just four days before Carabao Cup final clash with Chelsea as new Leeds date confirmed

Liverpool will be in action just four days before a Carabao Cup final meeting against Chelsea this month after a new date for their Premier League clash with Leeds was confirmed.

The game at Anfield had originally been due to take place on Boxing Day, but was postponed after the top-flight ruled it was unable to go ahead following a number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded within the Leeds squad.

The match has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, February 23, with Liverpool due to face Chelsea at Wembley on Sunday, February 27.

Chelsea are also in action that midweek as they host Lille on Tuesday, February 22 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash.

Three other games have also been arranged for that midweek as the Premier League looks to catch up with fixtures that were postponed.

Tottenham will travel to Burnley on February 23, while Crystal Palace will visit Watford on the same day.

Arsenal will be in action the following day when they host Wolves at Emirates Stadium. The match will be the second time the Gunners face Wolves this month, as they also travel to meet them at Molineux on February 10.
