Liverpool's interest in Fulham's Fabio Carvalho should come as little surprise.

The 19-year-old has been an important part of Marco Silva's success in the Championship so far this season, netting eight times in 17 games for a free-scoring side.

The latest of those came last weekend as Carvalho registered in a 3-2 win at Stoke that kept Fulham on course for an instant return to the top flight.

With four Premier League appearances already to his name at Craven Cottage and his reputation rising by the week in west London, it would be more of a shock if the Reds were not keeping an eye on developments.

Liverpool, though, are understood to be one of at least a dozen clubs whose interest in Carvalho is known.

The Reds' recruitment team believe his level of experience at 19 and his ability to play in a number of attacking roles make him an interesting prospect as they look to continue their policy of luring the finest youngsters in England to the club.
