Liverpool fans say same thing about Martin Tyler commentary after Arsenal goals

Diogo Jota celebrated his goal against Arsenal on Wednesday by cupping his ear - perhaps that was because he couldn't hear Martin Tyler's hushed commentary on Sky Sports?

The Reds saw off a spirited performance from Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, eventually taking control in the second half through goals from Jota and Roberto Firmino to win 2-0.

Jota gave Liverpool the lead with a low shot that squirmed past Aaron Ramsdale, while Firmino turned home after excellent work from Andrew Robertson on the left flank.

The goals were netted in front of the massed travelling Reds fans, but the delirious scene seemingly wasn't enough to trigger an excited reaction out of Sky Sports' lead commentator Tyler.

The veteran broadcaster was seemingly muted in describing the action, a trend that has been picked up previously by Liverpool fans. They were quick to pull him up on it on Wednesday night too.

Liverpool remain well in the hunt for four trophies after their win in north London, with the FA Cup and Champions League in their sights as well as the Premier League.

With that in mind, the Sky veteran may have to provide a backdrop to a lot more exciting Liverpool moments yet.
