Liverpool Fan Reveals She 'Felt Sick' After Disgusting Offer For Carabao Cup Final Tickets

One Liverpool fan has been left 'feeling sick' after her plea for a ticket for the Carabao Cup final was met with sexual harassment on social media.

Someone slid into Abigail's direct messages to say they had spares, when she replied asking if they had proof, the other Twitter user responded saying, "Lol. Yes I can send it. If you meet me at my hotel we can have 30 mins of fun and I'll give you the ticket."

"The experiences people have to go through, not just women, but as a woman being commented on like that, as if I would say yes to something like that.

"Did they think I was going to say yes? Of course not.

"It made me feel a bit sick to be honest.

"You never know if anyone would ever say yes to that and what type of person they are that they are meeting up with for these tickets.

"You could never know what could happen."

The 21-year-old student reported the message to Twitter, but the social media site soon got back to her to say that the message wasn't 'in violation of their rules.'

"I reported it to Twitter as it was harassment because it was an unsolicited sexual advance, that's what it came across as," Abigail added.

"I reported it and when it asked me to add more details, I commented saying I was looking for match tickets and there was this unsolicited sexual advance sort of thing.

"And literally within 10 minutes, I got a notification saying 'hi we have reviewed it and there's no issue kind of thing'."

The Liverpool fan called the outcome 'disappointing,' and called on the company to hire someone to look through these things saying it felt 'automated.'

Twitter had so far failed to comment on the incident.
