Liverpool fan, Paddy Pimblett, starts 'Justice for the 97' chant at UFC London

Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett is making quite a name for himself in the world of UFC and there’s no denying that his charisma plays a massive part in his ever-growing love and support.

In only the second UFC fight of his career, the Liverpool supporter fought Rodrigo Vargas and put on a show as he picked up a first-round submission victory in front of the fans in the O2 Arena.

During his post-fight celebrations, he paid a fitting tribute to the 97 Liverpool supporters that died due to the Hillsborough disaster in 1989.

He finished his interview with Michael Bisping by producing a rendition of the ‘Justice for the 97’ chant. The chant was appreciated by the fans present in the O2 and they joined in with him, too.

It was a very special moment for Paddy considering he fought on his home territory in the UK and as he is from Liverpool, the chant has a deeper meaning for him.

Paddy Pimblett was joined by fellow scouser Molly McCann in the cage following both their victories on the night and both fighters were offered congratulations by footballing legend Wayne Rooney in the dressing room.
