Liverpool & Chelsea combined XI of the Premier League era

Liverpool and Chelsea clash at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

The two sides will do battle for the first domestic trophy of the season. And it’s a tough one to call.

Jurgen Klopp’s side go into the showpiece event with momentum having got themselves back into the Premier League title race.

Chelsea aren’t in bad shape either, having recently been crowned champions of the world after winning the Club World Cup.

There will be plenty of world-class players on show at Wembley with the two managers having a plethora of incredible talent to call upon.

But we wanted to look back at some of the legendary players that have turned out for either side down the years.

Therefore, ahead of the final, we’ve stuck our neck on the line and attempted to select a Liverpool and Chelsea combined XI from the Premier League era. It wasn’t easy and we’ve had to leave out some quite brilliant players.

It features six Chelsea players and five Liverpool stars.
