Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has offered a positive update on the severity of Thiago Alcantara’s injury.
The midfielder was selected to start Sunday’s dramatic Carabao Cup final win over Chelsea but was forced to withdraw after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring injury during the warm-up.
While a hugely influential figure at his best, the former Bayern Munich star has frequently struggled with injury since moving to Anfield in 2020. Few would doubt his quality but, in total, the 30-year-old has missed 41 games during his Liverpool career so far.
