Liverpool ace Harvey Elliott sends Premier League title race message to Man City

Liverpool's Harvey Elliott has sent a clear message to Manchester City and Arsenal about the Premier League title race. He insists that Liverpool are not looking too far ahead, despite their recent 3-1 victory over Burnley.

The Reds returned to the top of the league after goals from Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez. The game was level at half-time, but Elliott's introduction in the second half changed the game. He provided assists for Diaz and Nunez, helping Liverpool secure the win.

Elliott praised Burnley for making the match challenging. He also expressed confidence about being at the top of the table, but downplayed talk of the title race with a third of the season still to go.

Liverpool are currently two points ahead of Man City, who have a game in hand against Brentford. Arsenal are five points behind the Reds and will face West Ham on Sunday.

Elliott, speaking to Sky Sports, said: "They [Burnley] came here with a clear gameplan and made it very difficult for us today, as they did in the home game.

"They are a very tough team with a clear way of playing. Yet again we were able to dig deep and find the three points from somewhere. We were clinical when we needed to be and got the three points which is the important thing.

"It's always a nice feeling to be top [of the table], especially after the last game. We needed to bounce back and show fight.
