Liverpool 4-0 Man Utd: Roy Keane sounded broken after former side's heavy defeat

Liverpool were dominant as they swept aside Manchester United in their Premier League clash on Tuesday evening.

The game was of utmost importance for both sides.

Liverpool needed all three points as they battle Manchester City at the top of the table, while United needed a win in their quest to finish in the top four.

It was Liverpool that prevailed as they cruised to a comfortable four-goal victory.

Luis Diaz and Salah gave the Reds a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Sadio Mane made it three in the 68th minute, before Salah grabbed his second and rounded out the scoring with five minutes remaining.

Roy Keane was covering the game on Sky Sports.

Many watching at home were probably expecting the Irishman to rip into United in a scathing rant.

Keane has done it many times before and, given this is one of United’s worst days in recent history, it wouldn’t have been a surprise at all to see him lay into his former side again.

But United were so bad that even Keane didn’t even sound angry, he just looked sad.

"It's NOT the club I played for!"
