Bruno Fernandes' pre-match antics in the tunnel will leave Man United great Roy Keane furious

Roy Keane was left understandably furious by the Manchester United players' performance against Chelsea on Thursday night, though he'll be even angrier when he says footage of their pre-match antics in the tunnel.

Footage showed the players greeting former United man Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian made 96 appearances for the Old Trafford club after signing from Everton back in 2017, yet he never really threatened to show his true quality in a United shirt and was sold to Inter Milan in 2019.

His form in Serie A earned him a move to Chelsea but he has struggled for form since arriving back in London. Having left Old Trafford only three years ago, Lukaku bumped into plenty of familiar faces upon his return.

One current United player who wasn't at the club during Lukaku's stay is Bruno Fernandes, though you'd be forgiven for thinking they were best mates. Sky Sports cameras picked up on the Portuguese midfielder embracing Lukaku prior to kick-off.

Last month, Keane was critical of players getting on so well with the opposition. He told the BBC : "When I see United games now, even against Arsenal, everyone's being nice to one another. Everyone's gone a bit soft."

Lukaku did not receive such a warm welcome from the United fans at Old Trafford. He was welcomed with a chorus of boos when he came on with 20 minutes to go.
