A quartet of ranked SEC games could vault some teams into contention or, in the case of Texas A&M-LSU, seriously ding their credentials before the first month ends.

The Big Ten's big Saturday is anchored by two stylistic opposites: Iowa, which has allowed an FBS-best 4.3 points per game, while Michigan is allowing 13 points per game. In other words, don't expect fireworks. That should come in the Oregon-USC game; both teams are scoring more than 40 points per game.
