Live updates as search takes place to find Dr Michael Mosley who is missing on Greek island

BBC health expert Michael Mosley, known for his nutritional and healthy living advice, has reportedly gone missing while on holiday. The 67-year-old is believed to have embarked on a walk yesterday from St Nicholas on the Greek island of Symi and has not been seen since.

It's reported that a search and rescue team from Athens, equipped with drones and other advanced technology, will be extending the search today (Thursday). His wife, Dr Clare Bailey, contacted authorities after the TV doctor failed to return from a walk.

Resident Adriana Shum wrote on the Friends of Symi Facebook page: “Have you seen this man? He set off to walk back from St Nick’s at about 13.30 and failed to make it home. His friends are concerned as it is 6 hours since they last saw him.

"His name is Dr Mike Mosley and he is a familiar face for many British people as he has appeared on the BBC. Edit: The police and coast guard have been informed. E.D.O.K, the island’s rescue team, is also involved. Edit 9.30 Thursday morning. So far he still has not been found and the search continues.”
