Roads are blocked and police have shut a street and are expecting it to be closed "for some time" due to an ongoing house fire.

A statement from South Wales Police said that Victoria Terrace in Pyle, Bridgend, is closed in both directions. Officers are expecting the road to remain closed for "some time". They are also urging people to find alternative routes where possible. South Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they had been called to a house fire at 6.33am on Wednesday. All persons are accounted for.
