Live updates as Palestine Action break into factory with sledgehammers

Protesters representing Palestine Action have attacked an American-owned plant in Powys. Members of the group smashed their way into the Teledyne Labtech Ltd factory in Presteigne early on Friday morning.

They smashed windows and daubed red paint on the outside of the building before storming inside around 7.30am. Several also made it on to the roof of the building, which has not been able to operate. The protesters are vowing to continue this action for as long as possible, and there is a large police presence at the scene.

Palestine Action says today’s stunt is in protest to Labtech’s involvement in supplying military hardware to Israel. Dyfed Powys Police said they have a number of officers at the scene of an "ongoing protest".

A spokesman added that four people have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.
