Live updates as major emergency services incident shuts busy road in Cardiff

A busy road in Cardiff has been closed in both directions by the emergency services following a serious incident. Cardiff Bus and Adventure travel have both diverted their services following the closure of Albany Road.

South Wales Police said it had been called at 11.20am to a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian. Google's live traffic map shows that the area of road closed is between Claude Road and Penylan Road.

Cardiff Bus said its services were being diverted onto Newport Road. Adventure travel said it was unable to service stops on Richmond Road and Albany Road.

Social media images show police officers and paramedics at the scene, which has been cordoned off. WalesOnline has approached emergency services for more information.
