Luke Williams to Swansea City Live: Updates as appointment imminent and hold-up explained

Swansea City are still waiting on the green light to confirm Luke Williams as their new manager.

Williams is understood to have agreed to become Michael Duff's successor at the Swansea.com Stadium, in a move that will conclude a drawn-out 32-day search.

There were real hopes the club would be able to confirm the 43-year-old's arrival on Thursday night, but the Swans are still waiting on some final pieces of external paperwork to be signed off before they can unveil Williams as their next boss.

It's not yet clear whether Williams will be in the dugout for Saturday's FA Cup third-round clash with Morecambe, but all being well he is expected to be unveiled to the fans and press later this afternoon.
