Live updates as emergency services close major road after crash

Police have closed a major road following a crash.

Officers were alerted to a crash on the A472 in Usk at about 7.35am on Tuesday, February 8.

Gwent Police closed the road in both directions in Little Mill and have asked motorists to avoid the area.

A statement from the force said: "Emergency Services are dealing with a road traffic collision A472 Little Mill.

"The road is closed and diversions in place.

"Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes."
