Live updates as double decker bus gets stuck under bridge in Cardiff
Traffic is partially blocked on a Cardiff road after a bus got stuck underneath a bridge. South Wales Police and Cardiff Bus are at the scene after a double decker bus became wedged beneath the railway bridge above Leckwith Road, near the junction with Sloper Road and Broad Street, heading towards Cardiff City Stadium.
Pictures from the scene show the Cardiff Bus vehicle unable to move, with the incident also appearing to have caused some damage to it. The pictures show South Wales Police at the scene and a vehicle from Cardiff Bus. Officers are directing traffic away from the road which is partially blocked. The AA traffic news site shows heavy traffic on that stretch of Leckwith Road, but traffic on adjacent roads appears to be coping well. Vehicles are unable to drive under the bridge towards Leckwith, but traffic is moving in the opposite direction as normal.
