Live updates as building goes up in flames in Blackwood town centre

Emergency services are at the scene of a fire at a property in Caerphilly borough.

Dramatic footage shows huge flames at a property on Pentwyn Road, Blackwood, just off High Street. The incident appears to have happened above the closed Everest Indian takeaway shop around 9.30am on Monday, April 11.

Firefighters can be seen tackling the fire as smoke billows over the town. The emergency services have been approached for comment.
