LIVE: UK Fast founder Lawrence Jones guilty of raping two women - updates from court

UK Fast founder Lawrence Jones has been found guilty of raping two women. Mr Jones, of Brooks Drive in Hale Barns, had denied two rape allegations made by two women.

The 55-year-old was on trial at Manchester Crown Court. Prosecutors said he called the first complainant 'pr*** tease', before pouncing on her after giving her a glass of red wine and a spliff.

They claim Mr Jones told the second complainant to sniff from a medicine bottle containing a clear liquid, before he 'got on top of her' and raped her.

Mr Jones denied both charges but was found guilty today of both.

Judge Sarah Johnston addressed Mr Jones: "Mr Jones you will be produced for sentence on December 1, where you will be sentenced for these matters."

The judge advised the jury that Mr Jones will be sentenced for the offences and a separate offence of sexual assault that he was found guilty of at another trial.

She said she did not tell them of the conviction because she wanted them to try the case based on the evidence in this trial. The judge said they will read about the prior offence he has been found guilty of. She thanked them for their service.

The jury has left the room.

Lawrence Jones has been found GUILTY of both counts of rape. Jurors are unanimous in their decision, the court is told. The crown has asked for time for sentencing.

The foreman is about to address the judge.

The jury has been called in.
