LIVE: 'Severe' HOUR-long delays on M60 and traffic held on M62 after crashes - updates

Drivers are facing 'severe' delays on the M60 this morning following a collision.

Queues are building on the M60 clockwise at J4 (M56 Sharston Link) following the crash. There are currently reports of congestion to J24 (Denton Island).

National Highways say motorists are experiencing delays of around an hour on the M60 clockwise following recovery work at the scene.

Traffic is also being held on the M62, between J24 and J22 westbound, following a crash. There are major delays as a result.

Travel service Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M62 Westbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor). Congestion to J24 (Ainley Top)."

Drivers on the M61 are also facing huge congestion this morning. The M61 northbound is partially blocked with long delays due to accident from J1 M60 J15 (Swinton Interchange) to J2 (A580 interchange).

There is congestion to M60 J13 (Worsley) and M62 J19 (Heywood).
