LIVE: 'Serious collision' closes Queens Gate and Bute Town Tunnels

A 'serious collision' has closed both the Queens Gate and Bute Town Tunnels in both directions. South Wales Police have said the road will likely "remain closed for some time".

South Wales Police confirmed the incident on the social media earlier this morning. Their statement reads: "We are at the scene of a serious collision on the Queens Gate and Bute Town Tunnels

"The road is currently closed in both directions . It is expected to remain closed for some time.

"Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."
