Firefighters are tackling a blaze at a building in Tameside this morning.

The fire has broken out in a commercial property on Stamford Street, the fire service said. Road closures are in blaze.

People living nearby have been urged to keep their windows and doors shut due to smoke. A tweet posted by the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters are currently tackling a fire at a commercial property on Stamford Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne.
