LIVE Reports of stabbing as police cordon off Salford street with CSI and air ambulance called - updates

Police have cordoned off a street in Salford this evening with the air ambulance reportedly on the scene.

Officers taped off Long Street, off the A572 Worsley Road in Swinton at around 5:45pm on Saturday evening. Nearby residents reported seeing a significant emergency services presence in the area.

The exact nature of the incident has not been confirmed.
