LIVE: Police cordon in place in Oldham as CSI descend on scene - updates

A road in Oldham has been taped off police due to an ongoing incident this evening.

Mossgate Road in High Crompton has been sealed off by officers, with witnesses saying they have also spotted CSI teams at the scene.

No further details about the nature of the incident have been released at this stage. Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.

One eyewitness told the M.E.N that officers from GMP had taped off the area, and that crime scene investigators had arrived earlier this afternoon.

They reported seeing an ambulance and paramedic car driving towards the area, and said they had been turned away from the street by police.
