LIVE: Man and woman arrested after police raid home with building taped off - latest updates
A major emergency services presence has descended on a Tameside street after a substance potentially linked to the production of spice was found.
The Manchester Evening News understands a liquid which can be used in the production of the synthetic cannabinoid was found in a raid on Queens Road, in Ashton-under-Lyne, early this morning (August 19).
Greater Manchester Police says a man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of producing class B drugs.
Forensics investigators have been seen searching the building, while firefighters and paramedics have also attended the scene.

Two Tactical Aid Unit (TAU) vans are in attendance, alongside crime scene investigators.
A number of homes were taped off near to the building earlier this morning, but this part of the cordon has since been lifted. A car has also been removed from the scene.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Officers, alongside emergency service colleagues at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service, executed a planned warrant at an address on Queens Road in Ashton-under-Lyne this morning (Tuesday, August 19).
"A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of producing class B drugs. They are in police custody.
"Chemicals used in the production of class B drugs are being tested.
