LIVE: Major road shut as man, 27, killed in motorbike crash

A man has died following a motorbike crash in Bolton.

The 27-year-old victim was travelling along Moss Bank Way when he was involved in a collision between 10.40pm and 11.10pm, police say.

Emergency services attended but the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Moss Bank Way remains closed between Captains Clough Road and Halliwell Road while police investigate the incident.

Officers have warned that the road will be closed for several hours and have urged drivers to consider alternative routes. Greater Manchester Police has issued an appeal for information in connection with the man's death.
