A section of the A635 Stamford Street East is closed eastbound this morning (November 12) in Ashton-under-Lyne.

The road is shut between Park Parade and Montague Road, Google traffic data shows.

The closure is due to emergency repairs taking place, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring service.

It was first put in place on Tuesday afternoon, with motorists reporting severe delays in the evening.
