LIVE: M6 closed both directions after crash involving three lorries

The M6 is closed in both directions following a crash involving three lorries.

The motorway has been shut in Staffordshire between junction 13 for Dunston and junction 14 for Stafford following the incident on Monday afternoon.

National Highways said the crach involved three lorries and recovery is currently on the way. Queues are building in the area with delays already more than 30 minutes.

Motorists heading northbound have been warned of delays of 90 minutes due to the incident on the M6.

Two lanes of four have now reoepned on the southbound M6.

There are delays of at least 45 minutes in both ways.

Two lanes of four have been opened on the northbound carriageway. All lanes remain closed southbound.

National Highways say recover is on the way but traffic is held in both directions for the time being.
