LIVE: Large police presence and cordon outside a shop in south Manchester - latest updates
There is a large police presence on one of Manchester's busiest roads this afternoon. An area has been cordoned off outside a shop on Princess Road in Moss Side.
Locals said the cordon had been in place since this morning. No details about the incident have yet been released. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) have been contacted for comment.
However, blood can be seen on the pavement inside the area that has been taped off outside the Richie & Nickie Liquor Store, at the junction with Alison Street.
Two officers are said to be standing guard at the cordon with a number of other police vehicles also seen in the area.

Here's a quick video of the scene. As you can see it's a very small cordon, only covering the pavement in front of the store's entrance. pic.twitter.com/zYQ00JcoQd
Blood is visible both on the pavement and a set of shutters on the outside of the shop
