LIVE: Emergency services on scene as motorway shut following serious crash
A motorway has been closed following a serious crash this afternoon.
The M67 is currently shut eastbound between junction 3 for Hyde and junction 4 for the Hattersley Roundabout following the smash, which involved two vehicles..
Emergency services, including police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene at about 2.40pm. National Highways has warned that "delays are likely" and advised drivers to follow diversions that have been put in place.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters were called to reports of a "crash between two vehicles" at 2.40pm today.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police added: "At around 2.50pm today, officers responded to reports of a collision close to junction 4 on the M67.
"Officers and other emergency services are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing."

Delays in the area are now easing, but the eastbound carriageway remains closed.
The carriageway remains closed to traffic as emergency services work to assess barrier repairs following the accident, according to Inrix.

There are still delays on the M67 and surrounding roads more than three hours on from the crash. The motorway remains closed eastbound with congestion reportedly back to junction 1A for Denton.
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed that officers were called to reports of the crash, near to junction 4 of the M67, this afternoon.
