LIVE: Boy, 15, stabbed to death in Manchester with murder investigation launched - updates
A murder investigation is underway after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in Manchester.
Police were called to Moss Lane East in Moss Side just after 4.30pm on Monday night where the teenager was found with stab wounds.
Tragically, he could not be saved.
A police cordon is in place covering a section of Moss Lane East in Moss Side.
Photographs taken at the scene show a blue-coloured police evidence tent has been put up near the junction with Lloyd Street North.
Forensic officers have been pictured scouring the area.

Greater Manchester Police have added that enhanced stop and search powers have been authorised for the surrounding area.
A section 60 order has been authorised by a senior officer to last in the area for 24 hours.
The order, issued under Section 60 of the 1994 Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, gives officers enhanced powers to stop and search individuals.
They are commonly usually used after incidents involving violence or the threat of violence.

Police said the stabbing followed what they called a 'disturbance involving a number of people'.
The boy was found with multiple stab wounds, GMP added in a statement tonight.
He was treated at the scene then taken to hospital, but sadly died a short time later.
Police said his family were being supported. He hasn't been named.
