LIVE: Blood seen on floor after man 'stabbed' at block of flats in Whalley Range
There was a large police scene on Sunday at a block of flats in Whalley Range.
Two Crime Scene Investigation vans were outside a building on Withington Road, along with ambulances and the fire service.. Police officers cordoned off the entrance to the building.
Witnesses told the Manchester Evening News that blood was clearly visible at the entrance to the flats.
The MEN understands that a man was stabbed at the property earlier on Sunday.
The Manchester Evening News has contacted Greater Manchester Police and the fire service for comment.
The MEN will bring you further details as we get them tomorrow.
They appear to be looking at flats on the ground floor and the first floor.

The entrance to the area is now taped off. Fire officers are putting on Hazmat suits. The MEN understands this may relate to some barrels found in one of the flats.

There remains a large crime scene.
