Live A555 updates as crash tonight leaves road closed near Manchester Airport

A major A-road is closed near Manchester Airport following a crash tonight (Wednesday, February 19). The A555 eastbound is shut to traffic at its junction with Styal Road.

Styal Road is also reported to be inaccessible as a result of the incident. The closure was first reported at around 11.15pm, with traffic currently being diverted via Gatley.

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "A555 Manchester Airport Eastern Link Road Eastbound closed due to accident at B5166 Styal Road. Styal Road also is inaccessible southbound. Diversion - via Gatley."
