After a slow start to the summer, Manchester United's transfer window is threatening to spark into life.

A little more than three weeks since the window officially opened, United are understood to be edging closer and closer to wrapping up their first signing of the summer in the form of Feyenoord left-back Tyrell Malacia. United agreed a fee for the 22-year-old on Tuesday, hijacking his proposed move to Lyon. He is now on the cusp of sealing a move to Old Trafford.

United will hope that his impending arrival will mark the beginning of a flurry of new recruits, with manager Erik ten Hag determined to strengthen his armoury.
