Lionel Messi had a tough first season at Paris Saint-Germain.

While the Argentine forward showed flashes of his brilliance, he failed to live up to expectations with the Parisian giants.

He notched 11 goals and recorded 14 assists in 34 games for the club this season. While those stats are decent, they aren’t comparable to the numbers he racked up at Barcelona.

Messi has now opened up about his struggles this season in an emotional and in-depth interview with TyC sports.

Messi on leaving Barcelona and his struggles at PSG:
