Lionel Messi scores outrageous bicycle kick in Clermont Foot 0-5 PSG
Lionel Messi scored a sensational bicycle kick in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 opener against Clermont Foot on Saturday evening.
Messi would have been hoping to hit the ground running after a disappointing 2021/22 campaign.
And he did just that as PSG destroyed Clermont Foot 5-0 at Gabriel Montpied Stadium.
Messi set up Neymar for his opener in the 9th minute. Further goals from Achraf Hakimi and Marquinhos gave the Parisians a 3-0 lead at half-time.
The Argentine then scored twice in the second half as PSG continued to assert their dominance.
Neymar unselfishly set Messi up for a tap-in in the 80th minute.
Messi rounded out the scoring with his second six minutes later – and what a goal it was.
Leonardo Parades picked Messi out with a brilliant ball over the top.
Messi then controlled the ball with his chest and lobbed the goalkeeper with a bicycle kick. It was a moment of pure magic and you can view it below…
Messi. Overhead kick. This is real.
