Lionel Messi: Kylian Mbappe accidentally prevents PSG star from scoring vs Brest
Kylian Mbappe accidentally prevented Lionel Messi from scoring a fine volley in Paris Saint-Germain’s clash with Brest on Saturday afternoon.
Mbappe, Messi and Neymar were all in the starting lineup for PSG’s Ligue 1 match with Brest at the Parc des Princes.
Messi came ever so close to opening the scoring in the 19th minute.
The Argentine beautifully controlled the ball with his chest and struck a left-footed volley at goal that was destined for the bottom corner.
However, his goal-bound shot struck the unfortunate Mbappe and went out for a Brest goal-kick.
Mbappe could do nothing to get out of the way. It was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Messi saw the funny side and was seen with a wry smile on his face as he bemoaned his own luck.
