Lindsay Lohan's new Netflix rom-com explained and why the cast look so familiar

Lindsay Lohan is all set for another rom-com adventure with an upcoming Netflix film, which has already been described as 'messy' by eager fans.

Slated for release this coming November, Our Little Secret will make it the third Netflix feature starring the Mean Girls icon since her return to the big screen in the 2022's Falling for Christmas. Earlier in the year, the former child star teamed up with the streaming giant once more for Irish Wish, the fantasy romance-comedy that saw Lohan share the spotlight with Ed Speleers.

In her latest venture, Lohan finds herself entangled in a story of quarrelling former lovers, acting alongside Ian Harding, Tim Meadows and Kristin Chenoweth, under the directorship of Stephen Herek.

In the new Netflix flick Our Little Secret, we see Lohan's character Avery visiting her boyfriend's family over Christmas, only to discover her ex-boyfriend Logan (played by Harding) is dating her current beau's sister. This dilemma forces the feuding ex-couple to share a house for a week.

Detailing the plot, Lohan revealed to Tudum: "The movie is about a girl who's dating someone, and she goes to meet his family for the holidays." She further shared: "Then she bumps into her ex, who is dating her boyfriend's sister. And all kinds of stuff breaks loose."

Harding chimed in with his insight into the film, explaining: "Logan remembers and adores a lot of what makes Avery, well, Avery."

Among those endearing traits are their "[her] deep love of snacks and coffee, and the inability to realize that she will most likely be cold in any temperature under 70 degrees."
