"Life is full of ups and downs": Jake Paul issues heartfelt message to young fans following Tommy Fury defeat

The fight that fans waited over two years to see has come and gone with Tommy Fury coming out on top in his highly anticipated boxing match against Jake Paul. The Mancunian claimed victory on Sunday via split decision, dedicating his win to his girlfriend Molly Mae Hague and new-born daughter, Bambi.

While it was a proud day for Mancs, 27-year-old YouTuber Paul heads back to the USA leaving Saudi Arabia bitterly disappointed.

The Internet sensation who has over 22m Instagram followers and 20m subscribers on YouTube, has since issued a message to his young supporters who may be upset at last night’s results.

Taking to Twitter, Paul said: “To all my young fans, I love you. Don’t be saddened by my loss. Life is full of ups and downs. You just have to learn from your failures and come back better. Hard work, hard work, hard work. I will be back.”

Immediately after he lost to the 23-year-old Love Island star, Jake - who lost for the first time in his seventh professional fight - said: "All respect to Tommy, he won. Don't judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses.

"I don't know if I agree with the judges, it is what it is but that is the boxing world."

Paul has added that he is already thinking of a rematch against the Brit, which Fury welcomed, adding: "This is my first main event. If he wants a rematch, bring it on."

Meanwhile, Tommy has been basking in all the glory of his win as he prepares to head home to spend time with his Love Island girlfriend and their daughter.

"For the past two years this is all that has consumed my life," Fury told BT Sport following his win.
