Liam Smith slams 'embarrassing' Dundee United as 5 managers in running to replace Liam Fox

He said: “If you don’t look at that performance and feel frustrated, disappointed and embarrassed, then there is something wrong. We speak to the press during the week and the boys are all saying the same thing. But now it’s about putting that into action.

“In the last few weeks, we haven’t shown enough to get out of this situation. There are only so many things you can say to try to be positive. But we know the situation is not a positive one and unless we turn it around quickly, we’re going to sleepwalk our way to finishing bottom. That is not what the expectations of this club are and not what the fans expect. We need to get our heads together and find out what is going wrong and put it right.”
