Liam Rosenior names Derby County team to face Stevenage with free agent in squad

Derby County interim boss Liam Rosenior mixed up his starting XI for the trip to Stevenage tonight as the Rams included former West Ham winger Amadou Diallo in the squad.

Diallo is a free agent after leaving the Hammers and is among the substitutes for the clash at the Lamex Stadium where the Rams were looking to secure their third successive win of pre-season.

David McGoldrick and James Chester are not involved tonight with the pair sitting out the clash with a view to giving them an extended run-out against Leicester City this weekend. That is also the plan for new signing Korey Smith.

But former Aston Villa midfielder Conor Hourihane is among the starters as is fellow summer recruit James Collins. In goal is Joe Wildsmith behind the back four of Kwaku Oduroh, Curtis Davies, Eiran Cashin and Craig Forsyth. In midfield is Jason Knight, Liam Thompson, Knight and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Up front, in what is expected to be a 4-4-1-1 formation, is Louie Sibley behind Collins in attack. On the subs bench are Scott Loach, Richard Stearman, Haydon Roberts, Max Bird, Jack Stretton, Tom Barkhuizen and Diallo.
