Liam Rosenior delivers key message as Derby County unveil new signing

Good morning Derby County fans!

Here are all the latest news from in and around Pride Park over the last 24 hours...

Liam Rosenior says Derby County cannot pay transfer fees for players but feels the experience he has added will help develop their emerging talent.

In what has been an impressive recruitment drive after Clowes Developments completed their takeover on July 1, the interim Rams boss has added 11 new faces this summer. James Chester, James Collins, Conor Hourihane and David McGoldrick have been among those to arrive with their experience forming a key part of Derby's rebuild.

Derby have had to operate in the free transfer market because the business plan agreed with the Football League as part of Clowes' takeover dictates they can not pay fees for players. Colin Kazim-Richards has confirmed his departure from Derby County and paid tribute to fans, players and staff in an emotional farewell to the club.

The striker was one of a number of players out of contract at Derby this summer, but he has not been offered a new deal and now becomes a free agent. Kazim-Richards joined the club in October 2020 and scored 11 league goals in 61 appearances for the club during which time he became a popular figure among the fans.

The former Sheffield United striker, who scored four times last season, took to Twitter to say his goodbye and says he will never forget his time at Pride Park as he awaits the next chapter in his career.
