Liam Cooper fires back at Leeds United fan on Twitter after dramatic Wolves win
Leeds United turned what was a shambolic performance into one of their more memorable games of the season. They were 2-0 down at half time to Wolves and all over the place before completing a second half turnaround.
Jonny and Trincao fired the hosts ahead before a quick double from Jack Harrison and Rodrigo drew the Whites level just after the hour mark. It then took until stoppage time to see the clash settled as Luke Ayling of all people found himself in the right place at the right time to fire Leeds ahead.
The first half was that bad from Leeds, Gary Neville claimed he had them to go down before the turn around, so it’s no surprise it looks like the fans voiced their frustrations during the game on social media. Liam Cooper hit back at a fan with a single word response.
Now we can’t see what the original Tweet was, but it appears to be from a Leeds fan, with the replies to Cooper suggesting that the fan in question criticised the team for their performance and directly mentioned the defender.
Cooper’s ‘delete’ command was listened to by the user, so we will never know what was said, what we do know is the Leeds player got his wish and stood up for himself and the team.
