Lewis Hamilton’s story about sitting next to Queen as he posts incredible tribute
Lewis Hamilton has posted an incredible tribute to The Queen following her passing this week.
Hamilton who remains winless after 15 races of the Formula 1 season, sits a lowly sixth in the driver standings.
It is a very unfamiliar position that the 37-year-old seven-time world champion finds himself in, having never gone winless for an entire season in his previous 15 years of racing in Formula 1.
He has been on the podium on six occasions, but will be desperate for that first win, to rescue a dismal season, by his and Mercedes very high standards.
After the crushing disappointment of losing the title late into the final race of the season, this has been a very trying season mentally for Hamilton.
His mood will not have been helped by the Mercedes team struggling with the drastic rule changes that they have had to cope with.

There have been more positive signs in the last month or so for Hamilton and Toto Wolff the Mercedes Team Principal.
At the Dutch Grand Prix last week, it felt like a podium and even a win was a real possibility. Mercedes tyre strategy once again let Hamilton down, and he was easily passed by Max Verstappen on fresh soft tyres after the final safety car restart and finished off the podium in fourth place.
The Italian Grand Prix at Monza this weekend offers Hamilton his latest opportunity for that maiden win of the season.
