Lewis Ferguson touts Lennon Miller for Serie A transfer as Bologna superstar 'puts in a a wee word'
Lennon Miller is the man on the lips of everyone at the moment as transfer talk intensifies.
Udinese have already had two bids booted out from Motherwell with club top brass revealing the offers put to the Fir Park side are 'miles away' from the valuation the club have on his young shoulders. He's one that has regularly been tipped as a signature both Rangers and Celtic should be chasing while Frankfurt in Germany also hold an interest in what is set to be a thrilling end to the January window and whether the Well keep their key man or not until the summer.
But as it turns out, Serie A whispers go well back with Derek Ferguson revealing superstar son Lewis - who has been tearing it up in Italy ever since putting pen to paper at Bologna - tipped his employers about the teenager. Derek revealed live on air that his boy had put in a wee word for him last year with his employers regularly checking in on the Scottish market. Italian clubs are regularly looking from our game and Miller is certain to be the next one to make the big move - whether it is Serie A or elsewhere.
Speaking on Sportsound, Ferguson revealed: "I would love to see him go abroad. Whether Udinese is the right club to go to I am not so sure. I know our Lewis had put in a wee word for him at the start of the season because I think Bologna ask Lewis about some of the players in Scottish football so he did give them a little heads up.
"Not that they needed it about Lennon. I think you'd be looking for a little bit more but then there is add-ons as well after so many appearances and if he was to go to another club and move from wherever he goes, you'd be looking for that."
